About Us

Our windows and doors division carries forward a third-generation tradition that began in the 1940s in Idaho Falls, ID  with founder Lyle G. Bowen.

What started as a land and insurance company — incorporated in 1954 as Bowen Insurance Company Inc. — steadily developed over the decades to meet the changing needs of property owners and builders. By the late 1970s, the company expanded into construction and building supply, laying the groundwork for a specialized focus on architectural products.

As the business grew through the 1980s and 1990s, divisional operations allowed expertise in materials and building systems to take shape. This experience ultimately positioned the company to serve an essential role in the building envelope — providing high-quality window and door solutions.

In the mid-2000s, leadership transitioned to the next generation and operations relocated to the Dallas–Fort Worth area. In 2016, the company was reintroduced under the name Stonemeyer Windows, aligning its heritage with a forward-thinking approach.

Today, our windows and doors division specializes in project-based supply and installation support for:
